2021 3rd Annual Charles City High School Scholarship
SCHOLARSHIP, SCHOLARSHIP, SCHOLARSHIP!!
2021 Charles City High School Scholarship!! In partnership with If You Knew Better Do Better, LLC, members of Creating A Better Me, LLC understand the importance of education as well as the financial hardship that can come along with attempting to achieve higher education.
This year, we were blessed to have one recipient, Ms. Alexis Williams. Ms. Williams completed the requirements of this scholarship by submitting the 500 word essay, maintained a 2.5 GPA, and is attending Howard University in the Fall of 2021, majoring in Sports Medicine.
2019 2nd Annual High School Scholarship
SCHOLARSHIP, SCHOLARSHIP, SCHOLARSHIP!!
This year, we were blessed to give out not 1...not 2.....but THREE High School Scholarships to three young scholars from Charles City County High School and Maggie L. Walker Governor School. We are proud to announce the THREE recipients of the 2019 2nd Annual Charles City High School/Jordin Cotman Scholarship: Ms. Laurin Hamilton, Ms. Skyy Harris & Mr. Ja'Won Johnson!!
To the right of the founder, Ms. Laurin Hamilton completed the requirements of this scholarship by submitting the 500 word essay, maintained a 2.5 GPA, and is attending J. Sargeant Reynolds Community college in the Spring of 2020.
To the left of founder, Ms. Skyy Harris completed the requirements of this scholarship by submitting the 500 word essay, maintained a 2.5 GPA, and is attending Richard Bland College in Petersburg, VA in the Fall of 2019.
To the right of founder, Mr. Ja'Won Johnson, completed the requirements of this scholarship by submitting the 500 word essay, maintained a 2.5 GPA, and is attending Virginia Wesleyan University in Norfolk, VA in the Fall of 2019.
We are so very proud these three young men and women and wish them MUCH success in their future academic careers!
2018 1st Annual High Scholarship

Despite our organization being focused on educating, uplifting, and inspiring young women to reach their wildest dreams, we are proud to announce that the two recipients of the 1st Annual Creating A Better Me Scholarship were two young men!
To left of founder, Mr. Dave Randolph completed the requirements of this scholarship by submitting the 500 word essay, maintained a 2.5 GPA, and is attending John Tyler Community college in the Fall and in two years will be attending Virginia Commonwealth University to study in the VCU Arts program.
To right of founder, Mr. Jordan Bowman also completed the requirements of this scholarship by submitting the 500 word essay, maintained a 2.5 GPA, and is attending Mercer University in Macon, Georgia in the Fall to pursue a degree in Dentistry.
We are so very proud these two young me and wish them MUCH success in their future academic careers!
